FREED, Hester Ray

Hester Marie Freed of RR 2, Covington, age 63, died Thursday afternoon, April 14, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born in Danville, December 31, 1919, the daughter of Robert and Alice Beaver Ray. January 25, 1937, she married Earnest H. Freed, who survives.
Surviving also are three sons, Bob of RR 2, Covington, Donald of Crossville, Illinois, and Stacey of Covington; her mother, who lives in Covington Manor Health Center; a sister, Martha Freed of Danville, Illinois; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga with Rev. Jesse Hawn officiating. Burial was in Lower Mound Cemetery south of Covington. – thanks to S
